Royal Opera House: Rigoletto

With a libretto by Francesco Maria Piave and based on the play Le roi s'amuse by Victor Hugo, the Royal Opera House bring this controversial melodrama back to the stage. The story focuses on a hunchbacked jester's attempted revenge on his master, François I, for the seduction of his daughter. This production falls in the 100th anniversary year of Giuseppe Verdi's death.
